Privacy Policy
SpendyWendy was designed around a single promise: your financial life stays on your device. This policy explains, in plain language, what that means in practice — and it's short precisely because there isn't much to disclose.

Information We Collect
SpendyWendy does not collect any personal information. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, location, or bank credentials, and the app has no sign-up or login screen to collect them through. Every expense, income entry, and custom category you create is typed in by you and stays with you.

How We Use Information
Because nothing is gathered, nothing is analyzed, profiled, aggregated, rented, or sold. We don't build advertising profiles, we don't study usage patterns, and we have no servers receiving your transaction data to "use" in the first place.

Data Storage
Every transaction, dashboard figure, analytics chart, and custom category icon lives exclusively in local storage on your device. There is no cloud sync, no remote database, and no backup service operated by us — if you move to a new phone without transferring the app's local data, that history stays on the old device.

Third-Party Services
SpendyWendy does not embed third-party analytics kits, advertising networks, or tracking pixels. No software development kit "phones home" with your activity, and we do not share information with third parties because none is ever collected to share.

Data Security
The simplest safeguard is architecture: since your financial entries never leave your device, there is no transmission to intercept and no remote account to compromise. We recommend the same basic hygiene you'd use for any app — keep your device's passcode and operating system up to date.

Children's Privacy
SpendyWendy does not knowingly or unknowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Because the app has no accounts, no data fields tied to identity, and no data transmission of any kind, it does not create the risks that privacy laws like COPPA are designed to prevent.

Your Control
There is no account to create and none to delete, because there is no account at all. Your data is fully under your control at all times: editing or removing a transaction inside the app updates it locally, and uninstalling SpendyWendy removes its local data from your device entirely.

If we introduce new features — such as additional chart types or category tools — that could change what this policy covers, we'll update this page and revise the effective date above. We will never quietly introduce data collection without updating this notice first.
